Hyatt Hotels is continuing with its expansion in Europe with the debut of the Destination by Hyatt brand in Mallorca, Spain.

Nestled near S’Albufera Natural Park, the new Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca property is positioned amid the dunes of a Balearic Island beach.

Hyatt South managing director Manuel Melenchon said: “As our first ‘Destination by Hyatt’ hotel in Mallorca, today’s opening marks a significant step in our brand growth strategy and underscores our continued commitment to delivering one-of-a-kind experiences in key markets that matter most to our guests.

“Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca embodies the spirit of the Destination by Hyatt brand by capturing the essence of the island and its surrounding natural beauty, and we are delighted to introduce this property to our diverse and evolving European portfolio.”

This resort features 184 guest rooms and suites, offering sea views and is equipped with amenities such as 55in smart TVs.

The company stated that the property’s dining experience is diverse, featuring four restaurants and bars.

Sarena Spa at the hotel features a hydrotherapy area, thermal zone, and dedicated massage and treatment rooms.

The property includes two pools with sea vistas, one with direct beach access, and a 24-hour fitness centre.

Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca general manager Rafael Alonso said: “Sarena de Muro is a true celebration of Mediterranean culture, and I am delighted to welcome guests to our first Hyatt hotel in Mallorca.

The Destination by Hyatt brand represents a collection of independent hotels and resorts.

With this addition, the company’s portfolio now spans over 1,450 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 79 countries in six continents.

In a move to strengthen its European footprint, Hyatt Hotels previously announced in November 2023 plans to introduce a new Thompson Hotels-branded property in Seville, Spain.
