Equinox Hotels has entered a collaboration with Dr Matthew Walker, a distinguished sleep scientist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley, aiming to revolutionise its hospitality services with a focus on sleep innovation.
The initiative is set to transform the guest experience by personalising sleep environments, advancing sleep technology, and continuously testing and developing innovative solutions.
Equinox Hotels believes that Dr Walker’s expertise will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the realm of sleep-focused hospitality. The brand is set to introduce several key projects under this partnership.
The Equinox Hotels Sleep Lab, an experimental space within Equinox Hotel New York, will allow guests to engage with state-of-the-art sleep technologies and partake in studies led by Dr Walker.
Future guest rooms at Equinox Hotels and Resorts are slated to incorporate these advanced sleep technologies. The design will be content-rich and recovery-focused, redefining luxury with science-backed solutions.
Equinox Hotels CEO Chris Norton said: “At Equinox Hotels, we understand that sleep isn’t just a luxury—it’s essential to living a high-performance life.
