Global luxury hotels chain Fairmont Hotels and Resorts has announced that it will open a new hotel in Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh by 2025.

The new luxury property will feature 205 rooms including 44 suites, providing world-class hospitality to guests. It will be the first Fairmont brand hotel in Agra.

The company has entered a partnership with India-based hospitality services company Shekhar Resorts for the new hotel.

Fairmont Agra will be located approximately 2km from the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
