Radisson Hotel Group has made its brand debut in Africa with the opening of the Radisson Collection Hotel in Bamako, Mali.

The hotel is located 20 minutes away from Modibo Keita International Airport and nearby the embassies, corporate headquarters, and government precinct in the city.

The Radisson Collection Hotel offers 200 rooms that spacious including 32 suites and three accessible rooms.

Radisson Hotel Group Middle East & Africa senior area vice-president Tim Cordon said: “We are delighted to open the doors of our first Radisson Collection hotel in Africa, in the heart of Bamako.

“Radisson Collection represents a portfolio of unique luxury properties with distinct identities, bespoke design, and true authenticity, which is evident in the Radisson Collection Hotel, Bamako.

“In addition to the Radisson Collection hotels already under development in Lagos, Cairo, and Abuja, we believe the brand has strong further potential across the continent, as we continue to reinforce our presence in every key market.”

The hotel features four restaurants and bars, City Grill, the G&G Café, the Oasis Pool Bar and Legends Sports Bar.

Additional features include a pool, 24-hour fitness centre, and 11 meeting rooms with over 1,100m2 of flexible event space with the AV technology.

It also has a Grand Ballroom that can be used for large conferences, memorable gala dinners and weddings.
