US-based Four Points RV Resorts has concluded the acquisition of Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Bloomington, Indiana.

Spread across 65 acres, this Jellystone Park boasts over 140 campsites and cabins.

It provides a range of attractions and activities comprising two swimming pools, a splash ground, miniature golf, laser tag and interactions with the comic book characters from the Yogi Bear franchise.

The purchase was financed using private equity from external sources.

Four Points RV Resorts CEO Sean Vidrine said: “This location is a great strategic fit for several reasons. It’s near our other Midwest properties and it has a lot of space for expansion.”

Four Points seeks to boost revenue at the Bloomington property, as it has done with previous acquisitions, by investing in new accommodations, attractions and activities.

Furthermore, the company intends to build 85 additional RV sites and cabins and has plans to develop new water attractions such as an extended splash pad, a new boat rental programme and an expanded food and beverage programme.

Four Points RV Resorts chief technology and marketing officer Van Der Molen said: “Today’s families want a true resort experience that goes beyond traditional camping.

“We are looking to acquire properties with high-quality amenities, including water features and have room for expansion. Four Points’ goal is to deliver a truly exceptional outdoor experience at every one of our locations.”

Four Points, established in 2020 by Sean Vidrine and Matt Van Der Molen, owns and operates four Jellystone Park franchises and two independent RV Resorts in Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi and Pennsylvania.

In the following two years, Four Points intends to further bolster its portfolio with the addition of four additional campground/RV resorts.

Last month, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Pine Lakes in Illinois completed a multi-million dollar expansion.
