Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has agreed with hotel and real estate development company Grupo De Valle to open the fourth La Quinta property in the Dominican Republic.

The Ocean Front La Quinta Pedernales – Cabo Rojo will be located in Pedernales, Cabo Rojo, with construction anticipated to start later this year.

Expected to open in mid-2025, the new hotel will enable Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to expand its midscale portfolio in the Caribbean.

The development will be supported by Fairmont and legal services firm Estrella and Tupete. The Dominican Republic aims to construct 12,000 resort hotel rooms in the Cabo Rojo area over the next ten years.

Estrella & Tupete managing partner Guillermo Estrella said: “The Ocean Front La Quinta Pedernales – Cabo Rojo adds value to the government’s development plans, bringing the necessary hotel product that is usually forgotten in resort areas.”
