The Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama in Japan, which is currently operating as the Tokyo Bay Maihama hotel club resort, is set open its doors on 1 May 2020.
Okura Nikko Hotel Management, a subsidiary of Hotel Okura, will rebrand and operate the hotel from 1 May 2020.
Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama will offer a Southern European atmosphere featuring a pink exterior. It will also provide views of Tokyo Bay and allow guests to have a feel of an urban resort.
The hotel will provide accommodation comprising over 700 guest rooms surrounding the 37m high atrium lobby, all with their own balcony.
The nine-story atrium lobby, which is claimed to be one of the tallest in Japan, creates an open and better atmosphere for guests.
The new property will be the second Grand Nikko-branded luxury hotel in Japan, following the inauguration of Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba in July 2016.
Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama’s facilities including guest rooms, and restaurants will be renovated in phases following its inauguration.
In October 209, Okura Nikko Hotel Management concluded a contract with Hulic Hotel Management to manage the Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama.
The hotel management firm said Grand Nikko is the highest-level brand in the Nikko Hotels International portfolio and offers comfort that unleashes the five senses in a high-quality environment.
Earlier this year, Okura Nikko Hotel Management said it will open the Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung in Taiwan in 2023.
