Grupo Satli will develop the resort, while Aimbridge Hospitality’s All-Inclusive Division will manage its operations.
The site covers 445 acres and has 1,312ft of beachfront. Plans include 13 dining outlets, 12 pools, a spa facility, over 43,000ft² of indoor meeting and event space, a lazy river, two tennis courts, and additional leisure and entertainment amenities.
Its inclusion enhances the collection of Marriott-branded properties managed by Aimbridge Hospitality in Latin America, including hotels in Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, Playa del Carmen, Puebla and Tulum.
The resort also strengthens Marriott Hotels & Resorts’ all-inclusive presence in Mexico, where its existing holdings include the Marriott Cancun property.
Marriott International currently runs more than 9,900 properties across 146 countries and territories worldwide.
Grupo Satli chairman Jamal Satli Iglesias said: “This landmark collaboration brings together Grupo Satli’s investment strength, Marriott International’s global recognition, and Aimbridge Hospitality’s proven all-inclusive operational excellence to develop a benchmark project in one of the world’s most important destinations.”
Aimbridge Hospitality was selected as the operating partner for its experience with the Mexican market and management of all-inclusive resorts to international standards.
Marriott International Caribbean and Latin America development vice-president Uriel Burak said: “This signing underscores our commitment to expanding the all-inclusive segment in Mexico, marking our first Marriott Hotels & Resorts-branded all-inclusive property in the Riviera Maya region.”
