Hotel brand Hampton by Hilton has marked its entry into the African market with the opening of a new property in Johannesburg’s financial and shopping district, South Africa.

This opening is the brand’s 150th property in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The 158-room hotel’s proximity to the Gautrain train station, just 1.8km away, provides convenient access to O.R. Tambo International Airport and various city attractions, including The Sandton City Mall and Nelson Mandela Square.

Hilton Middle East & Africa president Guy Hutchinson said: “Africa presents great development opportunities as we continue to expand and diversify the Hilton portfolio across the continent to meet every traveller need. We are proud of our legacy in South Africa, spanning almost three decades, and the debut of Hampton by Hilton Sandton Grayston is a testament to our commitment of providing world-class hospitality across the country.”

Hampton by Hilton Sandton Grayston showcases a blend of local culture and South African art, enhancing the hotel’s interior ambiance.

Guests can appreciate the local artwork inspired by African landscapes and wildlife, which adorns the hotel.
