Hawkins Way Capital has converted Found Hotels, Chicago into a Series by Marriott property, making it the fourth hotel in the US to operate under Marriott International’s new Series collection.

The repositioning of the River North hotel is part of the framework announced in September 2025, under which several Found-branded assets are being transitioned into the Series by Marriott portfolio.

Hotel operations will be handled by FCL Management, a third-party operator that focuses on managing both independent and branded hotels.

Found Hotels, Chicago general manager Brian Nolen said: “We’re focused on delivering a hospitality experience that reflects the spirit and vibrancy of Chicago while continuing to build on what has made this property a favourite among travellers visiting River North.

“Becoming part of the Series by Marriott collection allows us to pair the personality and style of an independent hotel with the trust, recognition, and enhanced benefits that today’s guests value.”

Guest rooms at the property have undergone light upgrades, including updated case goods and changes to full and queen room configurations.

Public areas have also been refreshed, with new furnishings and revised design details introduced across shared spaces.

The hotel is adding a new coffee concept, a co-working area, meeting room and gym facilities. The company said that these are scheduled to become available “this summer”.

Found Hotels was created by Hawkins Way Capital, which is using its collaboration with Marriott International to scale the Found platform.

As part of the arrangement, participating Found properties will be folded into the Marriott Bonvoy programme, linking Marriott’s global systems and loyalty network with the Found operating model.
