Curio Collection by Hilton, an upscale hotel brand under hospitality firm Hilton, has announced plans to open its first property in Florence, Italy.
The new hotel, Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton, will open in autumn this year and is located in the centre of Florence, a symbol of the Renaissance and a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The hotel will feature 115 rooms, and a restaurant offering Tuscan menu inspired by local flavours, traditions and seasonal ingredients.
Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton will also feature a bar, gym, and three meeting rooms to accommodate up to 90 people.
Hilton will open the hotel in an agreement with Westmont Hospitality Group and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management (Oaktree).
The property will undergo complete full renovation before its opening.
Hilton Europe, Middle East and Africa development senior vice president Patrick Fitzgibbon said: “Anglo American Hotel Florence is a stunning addition to Curio Collection by Hilton, joining almost 50 Curio Collection hotels trading or under development in Europe.
“Across the continent, we’re seeing growing owner interest in our Collection brands, which allow hotels to maintain an independent look and feel, while benefiting from Hilton’s commercial systems and global customer base. We look forward to welcoming guests in the historic centre of Florence.”
Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton is located within 15 minutes by foot to well-known palaces, churches, museums and Florence train station.
The Hilton will complement the company’s two trading hotels in Florence, under Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Garden Inn.
