Hilton has announced plans to significantly increase its presence in Morocco by adding 15 new hotels across the country, more than doubling its current portfolio.

The company has recently opened the Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé, its first luxury property in the country, located in the Mohammed VI Tower.

This hotel offers 55 guest rooms and suites and features views of Rabat, Salé, the Bouregreg River, and the Atlantic Ocean.

After his recent visit to Morocco, Hilton president and CEO Chris Nassetta said: “Morocco is a strategically important market for Hilton, where we plan to more than double our portfolio to 25 hotels in the coming years.”

Further expansion will include the debut of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Morocco.

The brand’s first property in Casablanca is expected to open in 2028, bringing 90 rooms and suites to the Gauthier district.

The Tapestry Collection will also open a 100-room hotel in Chefchaouen, planned for 2028 and being developed with Les Résidences Hôtelières du Nord.

In Marrakech, Hilton is advancing its Curio Collection by Hilton presence with a new hotel, Eden Palm Marrakech, scheduled to open in 2029 through a partnership with Four AS Invest.

The property will consist of 62 rooms and suites and provide spaces suitable for both leisure guests and business events.

Coastal growth will be achieved through new signings in Nador and Tetouan.

Set to open in 2028, the DoubleTree by Hilton Nador Marina will offer 120 rooms and suites in a seafront location by the Gulf of Nador and Marchica Lagoon.

Hilton Garden Inn Tetouan City Center, being developed with Les Résidences Hôtelières du Nord, will open in 2029 with 97 rooms.

Hilton currently operates 12 hotels in Morocco, with 15 additional projects under development across ten brands.
