Hilton launches new hotel in Malaysia’s i-City

The property in Selangor’s Golden Triangle features digital key-enabled rooms and eco-friendly bath amenities.

Hospitality company Hilton has opened DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City, its 13th property in Malaysia.

The property in Selangor’s Golden Triangle features digital key-enabled rooms and eco-friendly bath amenities.

Each room is equipped with motion sensor blinds, workspace, mini-fridge, TV and access to internet.

Besides, the 300-key hotel comprises around 1,600m2 of space for meetings and events, the Eforea spa, a 24-hour fitness centre and an outdoor pool.

Also included is the 1,170m2 pillar-less grand ballroom, with a capacity to house up to 1,000 people.

The property is a few minutes’ drive from several key destinations including Shah Alam’s i-City Convention Center, Central-i-City mall, Blue Mosque & Garden of Islamic Arts and the Sultan Alam Shah Museum.

It also offers easy access to the city’s manufacturing hubs.

Further, the hotel is well connected to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, as well as major highways.

DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City offers a wide range of dining options.

While its Makan Kitchen serves local delicacies, Tosca offers home-style Italian cuisine. Guests will be treated to tea and cocktails at the hotel’s Axis Lounge.

The hotel also houses The Koffee, which has fresh pastries and cakes on its platter.

Hilton South East Asia head and area vice president Alexandra Murray said: “We are thrilled to bring DoubleTree by Hilton’s distinct brand of upscale comfort to Shah Alam’s i-City, a highly-anticipated mixed development in Selangor’s Golden Triangle.

“Not only does the opening of the hotel signal the brand’s robust growth momentum, it also underscores our commitment to growing our presence across Malaysia and South East Asia, delivering warm hospitality and exceptional stays to guests in the region.”

Hilton has plans to open nine more properties in Malaysia.
