Hilton has entered a franchise agreement with MS&C Co to open the new Hilton Garden Inn Busan Gijang in South Korea.

Targeted to begin operations in 2028, the hotel will form part of a mixed-use development in the area.

It will feature 111 guest rooms and facilities such as an all-day dining restaurant, a café and lounge, swimming pool, fitness centre, and spa and sauna amenities.

Its location places it near major attractions, including Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Shinsegae Busan Premium Outlets, Lotte World Adventure Busan, and several golf courses.

Hilton Garden Inn Busan Gijang will participate in the Hilton Honors programme, allowing guests to earn and use points and access digital check-in, room selection, and other features via the Hilton Honors app.

Hilton Asia Pacific development senior vice-president Clarence Tan said: “The signing of Hilton Garden Inn Busan Gijang reflects the continued strength of South Korea as a dynamic growth market for Hilton and joins our existing estate of 11 trading and pipeline hotels in the country.

“As Busan Gijang continues to emerge as a hub for tourism and healthcare, we see strong demand for well-positioned, high-quality accommodation, including Hilton Garden Inn.”

This agreement marks Hilton’s expansion in South Korea.

MS&C Co chairman Noh Dae Hyun said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Hilton to introduce a new type of mixed-use project in Busan Gijang.

“By leveraging Gijang’s natural surroundings and regional infrastructure, we aim to create a differentiated destination that integrates hospitality, wellness and residential experiences.”

Recently, Hilton finalised agreements to open two hotels under its lifestyle brands in China’s Jiangsu province.
