Hotel Cala, part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, has unveiled plans to open in January 2027 along Tampa’s Riverwalk in Florida, the US.

The seven-storey urban resort will include 281 guest rooms, among them 16 suites.

Facilities at the hotel includes a resort-style pool deck with cabanas, lounge seating and landscaped areas, as well as a 24-hour fitness centre overlooking the pool.

Additionally, the hotel guests will also have direct access to The Riverwalk.

Tao Group Hospitality will operate the hotel’s two culinary venues.

LAVO will make its Tampa debut at Hotel Cala, offering coastal Italian dining with pastas, pizzas and signature dishes.

On the other hand, BarOnda will provide a more informal waterfront setting serving cocktails and small bites.

The property will also have 10,000ft2 of indoor and outdoor event space across seven rooms, with capacity for up to 450 guests.

Hotel Cala is owned by Newbond Holdings and will be managed by Schulte Hospitality.

“We wanted to create something that feels distinctly Tampa. A new destination along The Riverwalk that brings together hospitality, dining and culture in a way that will give both visitors and locals a new reason to experience this part of the city.”
