Business property adviser Christie & Co has completed the sale of Wayford Bridge Inn, a hotel, bar, and restaurant in the Norfolk Broads, UK.

The establishment boasts 29 letting bedrooms, a lounge bar, restaurant, and outside seating, catering to both locals and visitors.

Multi-hotel operator Hospitality Wise has purchased a new lease for the hotel from the current owner Aura Inns.

Aura Inns had previously bought the hotel out of administration in 2015, during which time they increased the bedroom count and developed a bar and restaurant.

Hospitality Wise, which already operates another hotel in the area and several others across the south and Midlands of England, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition.

Hospitality Wise spokespeople Abdul Shakir and Syed Ejaz said: “Another milestone has been achieved, thanks to the incredible support of Simon Jackaman from Christie & Co.

“This is a wonderful step for us as we take on a successful family-run business, and we’re committed to upholding the same high standards whilst gradually moving forward. We can’t wait to create more jobs and help our local community in every way we can.”

The sale of Wayford Bridge Inn was facilitated off-market by Christie & Co director Simon Jackaman, with a new lease being created on behalf of the freehold owners.

Simon Jackaman said: “Having known the Heavens family, who are well-respected within hospitality across Norfolk, for many years, and being involved with them when they acquired the hotel over ten years ago, I was delighted and honoured to represent them in this sale, which was conducted off-market.

“Having personally been involved in hotels across East Anglia for three decades, my knowledge of owners and operators enabled me to approach a select number of suitable companies and to quickly agree a sale to Hospitality Wise who already operate another hotel in the area, along with other hotels in Cambridgeshire, Kent and across the south and Midlands.”

Earlier this month, Christie & Co also announced that it is facilitating the sale of two other historic properties: the Vine Hotel in Skegness, UK, known as the oldest property in the town, and Edenhall Country House Hotel in the Eden Valley near Penrith, Cumbria, listed at £1.29m ($1.7m) freehold.
