Hotel Equities (HE) has been appointed to manage IHG’s Holiday Inn Boone –University Area hotel in North Carolina, US.
Located at 1075 Highway 105 near Appalachian State University, the full-service Holiday Inn Boone –University Area hotel has one in-house restaurant, an indoor heated pool and two outdoor patios. It has 90 guest rooms.
Last year, NC-based owners Watauga Hospitality completed a $4.3m worth renovation project at the hotel.
Watauga Hospitality owner representative Satis Patel said: “HE’ team’s vast experience as operators, their familiarity with the market and their long-standing relationships with the leading brands that my portfolio consists of- IHG, Marriott and Hilton, give me complete confidence in their capabilities.”
Hotel Equities will oversee activities such as accounting, revenue management and sales and marketing for the Holiday Inn Boone –University Area hotel.
It was selected following screening of multiple third-party management firms.
HE chief development officer Joe Reardon added: “At the peak of this pandemic when occupancy flatlined around the globe— that was when hotel owners truly began to realise the enormous value of their managing partners.
“We are experiencing a flight to quality from hotel owners and we think that’s continuing to happen because of lingering uncertainty surrounding Covid-19.

Last month, HE was appointed as the management firm for three Marriott hotels located in Alabama.
