Hotelogix has announced that its hotel property management system (PMS) is now in full compliance with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
This development is aimed at aiding hotels in Thailand to meet the legal requirements for the collection, processing, and disclosure of guest data.
Implemented last year, the PDPA legislation safeguards the personal data of individuals and enforces responsible and ethical handling of such data by businesses across Thailand.
It requires data controllers and processors to obtain consent from data owners and use their personal data only for specific purposes.
