Hyatt Hotels has added Atlantic Suites Hotel in Georgetown to its portfolio as an affiliated property, marking its first affiliated hotel in Guyana.
The move gives Hyatt an initial presence in the country through Atlantic Suites Hotel, which is operated with RJR Investments & Holdings.

Located in Guyana’s capital, the hotel is aimed at business and extended-stay travellers. It currently offers 80 guest rooms and suites, along with a 24-hour fitness centre.
Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking either the Atlantic Ocean or the Georgetown skyline.
Guests at Atlantic Suites Hotel can also access facilities at the neighbouring Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate Business Center, both owned by RJR Investments & Holdings.
These include around 36,000ft² of meeting and event space, six dining venues, including Aura Sky Lounge, and an outdoor pool.

“Atlantic Suites Hotel establishes this important market in Hyatt’s portfolio while laying the foundation for the future Hyatt Regency experience and expanded World of Hyatt offerings in the years ahead.”
The affiliation forms part of a wider plan for the property. RJR Investments & Holdings is preparing to develop a new tower beside the existing hotel.
The project is valued at $50m. When completed in 2028, the new tower will be linked to Atlantic Suites Hotel by a pedestrian bridge.
The two buildings are expected to operate together as Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana.
That combined property is set to include 240 guest rooms and suites, as well as a signature restaurant and market, a lobby bar, a rooftop bar, and meeting and event space.
Later this year, Hyatt Place Georgetown Guyana is also expected to join the Hyatt portfolio.
The property is planned to offer 136 guest rooms, a rooftop bar, an outdoor pool and free breakfast.
