The affiliates of Hyatt Hotels and Portuguese property developer Coporgest have signed agreements covering the development, branding and management of Park Hyatt Comporta and Park Hyatt Comporta Residences.

Scheduled to launch in 2029, the scheme will mark the initial entry of the Park Hyatt brand into Portugal.

The property will be situated in Comporta, a coastal area located in the country’s Alentejo region.

Under current proposals, Park Hyatt Comporta will comprise 58 guest rooms and suites, six two-bedroom standalone villas, and 22 serviced residences that will share access to the broader resort facilities.

On-site facilities outlined in the project plans include multiple dining venues, swimming pools, a wellness area and fitness centre, a padel court, and a children’s club.

The residential component of the project will be fully incorporated into the central hotel operations.

Hyatt noted that the property will be positioned next to Troia Golf Course, with an additional four courses accessible within a 20-minute drive.

The Comporta property will join Park Hyatt’s existing portfolio across European and neighbouring regional markets, which features properties in Istanbul, London, Marrakech, Milan, Paris, Vienna and Zurich.
