Hyatt Hotels has expanded its presence in Texas, US with the opening of two lifestyle hotels in downtown Austin.
The two hotels, Thompson Austin and tommie Austin, are located within a mixed-use development by BLG Capital Advisors, Geolo Capital, Magellan Development Group and Wanxiang Americas Real Estate Group.
Thompson Austin boasts 212 guestrooms and suites, 17 residences, over 10,000ft2 of interior and exterior private event space across the second and fourth floors.
The hotel also has a 6,700ft2 wellness centre equipped with a sports simulator and private fitness rooms.
tommie Austin, which opened under JdV by Hyatt brand, is designed by Venice-based Studio Collective.
The property features 193 rooms and guest amenities including contactless check-in kiosks and mobile room entry.
These new hotels will collectively offer various dining concepts including a fourth-floor restaurant and bar concept, street-level restaurant and market and a ground-floor coffee shop and wine bar.

Thompson Austin and tommie Austin are just 15 minutes from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
In August last year, Hyatt opened 193-room Thompson Savannah, its first Thompson hotel brand property in Georgia, the US.
