Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened a new Ginger-branded hotel in Assam’s Jorhat.
In a statement, the hospitality company said the opening of Ginger Jorhat, Club Road, further strengthens the brand’s presence in Northeast India.

The hotel is located in central Jorhat, around 4km from Jorhat Airport and 3km from Jorhat Town Railway Station.
The company added that the property offers “seamless access” to key commercial areas, supporting both business and leisure travel demand.
IHCL Select Service Business executive vice-president Deepika Rao said: “The opening of Ginger Jorhat in Assam strengthens the brand’s presence in the Northeast region.
“This opening is in line with our strategy of expanding across emerging markets and offering guests Ginger’s signature blend of lean luxe hospitality and seamless experiences.”
Ginger Jorhat has 78 rooms across six floors, an all-day dining restaurant, a fitness centre, meeting space for up to 50 people, and a banquet venue with capacity for up to 150 guests.
The Jorhat opening follows another recent launch under the Ginger brand.
Earlier this week, IHCL opened Ginger Goa, Arpora in North Goa. The property has 77 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, and a poolside café and bar. The company said the hotel is located near several tourist attractions in Goa.
Separately, IHCL signed an agreement this month to open a 111-room Ginger hotel in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
