Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed its first property in Rajkot, a city in the Indian state of Gujarat.
For this hotel, IHCL and its partner City Organizers will convert an existing property into an IHCL – SeleQtions brand.
Located in the city centre on Yagnik Road, the hotel will feature 120 rooms, an all-day diner, speciality restaurants and a lobby lounge with a deli.
The property will also house 750m2 of space to hold banquets, small meetings rooms and other guest amenities including a swimming pool, a fitness centre and a salon.
It will be conveniently accessible from all parts of the city.
IHCL real estate & development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “In line with IHCL’s vision to establishing a strong foothold in Gujarat, the SeleQtions hotel at Rajkot is yet another addition to the company’s portfolio in the state.

The new SeleQtions hotel in Rajkot will take IHCL’s total portfolio in the state to 20 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands. It also has four properties under development.
Last month, the company opened Ginger Bharuch, its first property in Bharuch, Gujarat.
City Organisers Atul Sheth said: “We are delighted to bring the SeleQtions brand to Rajkot in partnership with IHCL. We believe this will transform the hospitality landscape in the city.”
In October this year, IHCL opened Vivanta Meghalaya, Shillong, its first property in the country’s North-eastern state.
