Designated as IHCL SeleQtions Athirapilly, Kerala, the 100-key project involves the conversion and staged expansion of a development across two phases.

The initial phase encompasses 37 existing guest rooms, with the remaining inventory scheduled for delivery during the subsequent expansion stage.

The hotel’s food and beverage facilities will include an all-day restaurant, a rooftop dining area, and a dedicated wine and beer lounge.

Event infrastructure will comprise meeting rooms and banqueting spaces, complemented by recreational amenities such as a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a multi-room spa.

IHCL real estate and development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said:  “Kerala continues to be a key leisure market with its diverse tourism offerings and strong connectivity.

“Athirapilly, with its proximity to the iconic Athirapilly Falls and easy access from Kochi, presents an attractive opportunity to further strengthen our presence in the state.

“The signing is in line with our focus on expanding our portfolio across distinctive leisure destinations. We are delighted to partner with the Kshema Group for this project and bring the SeleQtions experience to Athirapilly.”

For this project, IHCL partnered with Kshema Group, a diversified business group operating in renewable energy, infrastructure, hospitality and other sectors.

Kshema Group director Abhinand Basant said: “We are delighted to partner with IHCL to bring the SeleQtions brand to Athirappilly.

“This partnership is an important milestone in our hospitality journey and reflects our commitment to developing distinctive destinations that are deeply connected to their location and surroundings.

“We look forward to working closely with IHCL to create a memorable hospitality experience in Athirappilly and contribute to the region’s growing tourism potential.”

Following this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in Kerala reaches 25 properties, including seven currently under development.
