The hotel will have an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a bar. Additional guest provisions include a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa.

For gatherings and corporate functions, the site will feature a banquet space measuring in excess of 10,000ft², supported by dedicated meeting rooms and pre-function zones.

Following this signing, IHCL’s portfolio in West Bengal stands at 19 hotels, comprising eight operational properties and 11 currently under development.

IHCL real estate and development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “Siliguri serves as the gateway to North Bengal, the Northeast and Bhutan.

“Its strategic location and growing economic activity continue to drive demand across business and leisure segments.

“The signing of Gateway Siliguri strengthens our presence in a high-potential market and is in line with our strategy of expanding in emerging growth centres across the country. We are pleased to partner with Pritam Agarwal and Amit Bhansali for this project.”

Last month, IHCL opened a new Ginger-branded hotel in Assam’s Jorhat.

The hospitality company noted that the opening of 78-room Ginger Jorhat, Club Road, further strengthens the brand’s presence in Northeast India.

The hotel is located in central Jorhat, around 4km from Jorhat Airport and 3km from Jorhat Town Railway Station.
