The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed a partnership with Lekhraj Builders for its 100th Ginger hotel, which is located in the city of Lucknow.

The 85-key property is situated on Capt. Aditya Mishra Marg in the Indira Nagar area.

Ginger Lucknow will offer amenities such as Ginger’s signature Qmin, a fitness centre, and meeting facilities designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers.

IHCL CEO and managing director Puneet Chhatwal said: “A pioneering concept, Ginger’s re-imagination with its lean luxe positioning has revolutionised the hospitality landscape in India. Its successful transformation has enabled the brand to scale and achieve the 100-hotel portfolio milestone. Driven by India’s robust GDP growth and increasing consumer aspirations, the mid-scale segment in the country is poised for significant expansion.

“Ginger, with its relevancy, straddles all city categories and destinations from metros, state capitals, commercial centres, as well as pilgrimage sites and leisure hot spots.”

Lekhraj Builders chairman Rajat Garg said: “We’re thrilled to join hands with IHCL to introduce Ginger to Lucknow. It will cater to the city’s growing business potential.”

In an interview on Bloomberg TV, Chhatwal said that the company has plans to add 120 hotels to its global portfolio in the coming years, encompassing both premium and mid-range offerings.

A phased launch of these new properties is on the horizon, with 11 hotels expected to open this year. This will be followed by 30 openings next year and 35 in the subsequent year to expand its global footprint.
