
Hospitality company Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has opened the Taj Cochin International Airport hotel, in the presence of the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, in the city of Cochin, Kerala, India.
This project, developed in collaboration with Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), marks IHCL’s continued expansion in Kerala, bringing their total to 19 hotels with an additional three in development.
The 111-key property blends traditional and modern design, featuring the IHCL’s holistic wellness brand J Wellness Circle, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool. With more than 5,000ft2 of banquet space, the venue can host both social and corporate events.
The hotel offers various culinary options at the all-day diner, Vista, and Nonya, which specialises in Pan-Asian cuisine.
Taj Cochin International Airport general manager Suresh Khanna said: “This hotel is more than just a destination, it’s a celebration of Kerala’s culture and hospitality. We look forward to welcoming travellers to this luxurious haven.”
Cochin, a port city on the Malabar Coast, is the commercial and industrial hub of Kerala. It is known for its backwaters, spice markets, and architecture.

Earlier in March, IHCL opened a SeleQtions branded property, Scenic Munnar – IHCL SeleQtions, cementing its presence in the state of Kerala, India.
IHCL has a portfolio of 350 hotels, including 118 under development, spanning four continents, 13 countries, and over 150 locations globally.
