IHG Hotels and Resorts is set to introduce two hotels in Cairo under its Crowne Plaza brand in an agreement with property developer Urbnlanes Development.

The signings will see the introduction of the Crowne Plaza Cairo New Administrative Capital and the Crowne Plaza New Cairo Yellow.

Set to open in 2028, the Crowne Plaza Cairo New Administrative Capital will offer three dining options, including a sky bar, and five meeting venues to cater to the needs of corporate guests.

The location offers accessibility to business guests looking for proximity to the nearby government ministries, administrative institutions, embassies and finance houses in Cairo.

The Crowne Plaza New Cairo Yellow will be part of a mixed-use development project a short distance from business parks and Cairo International Airport. Along with an all-day dining restaurant and a Club Lounge, the hotel will feature five meeting and events venues including a ballroom.

IHG currently operates seven hotels across four brands in Egypt: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites. It also has a pipeline of 17 hotels.
