IHG Hotels and Resorts is set to launch the Vignette Collection in the UK with the signing of The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool.

This hotel will feature 133 guest rooms with amenities such as an on-site gym, meeting areas and rooftop patios. It is set to open later this year under a franchising agreement with Molo Hotels.

IHG Hotels and Resorts Europe Development vice-president Willemijn Geels said: “Vignette Collection gives strategic partners and owners, such as Molo Hotels, the opportunity to retain their distinctive hotel identity while benefitting from IHG’s global scale, luxury and lifestyle expertise and a powerful IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.

“The brand has shown incredible success across the globe in its first year with 14 hotels signed or opened, which speaks volumes to its emphasis on delivering one-of-a-kind stays and memorable moments alongside a commitment to more responsible travel.

“Liverpool’s popularity continues to grow as a hub of culture and I’m confident the luxury offering of Vignette Collection will bring a new offering to the city.”

The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool, Vignette Collection will be operated by US-based hospitality company Lighthouse Hotel Management.

IHG further stated that the signing of the Liverpool Vignette Collection hotel will result in the creation of 71 jobs.

Molo Hotels managing director Ross Morrow said: “We see a gap in the market to deliver luxury stays in Liverpool and we’re excited to partner with IHG Hotels and Resorts to deliver a one-of-a-kind hotel that celebrates the history of such an important city.

“Liverpool is a thriving market with growing demand and IHG’s enterprise system will allow us to better serve guests at The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool, Vignette Collection from later this year.”
