Under an agreement signed with SC Capital Partners, IHG plans to open a 207-room hotel in the Kabukicho area of Shinjuku.
The Shinjuku property will undergo a period of renovation and rebranding ahead of its planned opening in 2027 with its own unique identity.
Among its design features will be a lobby area intended to serve as a connecting space linking through to the hotel’s restaurant and café.
Separately, an 81-room hotel in Ginza has also been signed to the Noted Collection via a partnership with An Consulting.
Set within the Ginza 8-chome district, the hotel is due to open its doors in 2029.
Its location places it within walking distance of both Shimbashi Station and Ginza Station, and the opening will bring IHG’s presence into the Ginza area for the first time.
Planned amenities at the Ginza property include family suites, a restaurant and bar, and a fitness centre.
IHG Hotels & Resorts Japan and Micronesia managing director and IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan CEO Abhijay Sandilya said: “Introducing Noted Collection to Japan through these two signings marks an important milestone for the brand and reflects the strong opportunity we see in the premium segment in Japan.
“Owners are increasingly looking for flexible brand solutions that allow hotels to maintain their individuality while benefiting from IHG’s global scale, enterprise platform and loyalty programme.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with owners, SC Capital Partners and An Consulting, to bring the distinct identity of each hotel to life in two dynamic areas of Tokyo.”
