InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is set to debut its boutique upscale brand Hotel Indigo in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The hospitality company signed a deal with Techvance Properties Management to bring the hotel brand to the Malaysian capital.

Hotel Indigo Kuala Lumpur will be located at the base of the Bukit Nanas, near KL Tower and KL Forest Eco Park.

Slated to open in 2023, the property will be designed to represent Kuala Lumpur’s multicultural influences and will feature 180 rooms. It will also have two restaurant and bar options, a function room, event space, outdoor rooftop pool, gym and work areas.

IHG South East Asia and Korea Development vice-president Serena Lim said: “We are very excited to bring the Hotel Indigo brand to Malaysia’s capital because it gives us the perfect opportunity to open a truly beautiful, boutique hotel which serves the curious – people who are inspired by new places, new people and new ideas.

“All of our guests, whether they are staying for leisure or business, will be offered a unique mix of rainforest relaxation alongside the delights of the city, which is just minutes away.”
