IHG Hotels & Resorts has further bolstered its presence in Mexico with the signing of a new Crowne Plaza hotel on Avenida de los Insurgentes avenue.
Scheduled to commence construction in early 2024, Crowne Plaza Mexico City Insurgentes is expected to open in 2026 in Mexico City.

IHG will partner with the owner Fideicomiso 1870/2014 and designer Interaq to develop, construct and execute the plans for this hotel.
This latest addition joins the seven existing IHG properties in the city.

The hotel will feature 230 rooms along with a range of amenities catering to both leisure and business travellers.
It will offer the brand’s signature Plaza Workspace, which will include flexible meeting spaces and private soundproof booths in the hotel’s common areas.
The hotel will have a rooftop bar and a restaurant that will be named later.
It is close to several tourist attractions, such as Azul Football Stadium, the Theatre of the Insurgents and the World Trade Centre Mexico City lifestyle complex.
Currently, the upscale hotel brand Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts boasts over 520 properties across major cities and resort destinations worldwide.
Additionally, IHG currently operates more than 6,200 operational hotels across over 100 countries, with roughly 2,000 more in various stages of development.
