IHG Hotels & Resorts and AIMS Holding are set to launch its “ultra-luxury” Regent brand in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Construction of Regent Makkah, which is situated in proximity to Al Haram Al Sharif, is in progress and ahead of schedule.
The hotel features 330 rooms and suites, each equipped with advanced technology and wellness options tailored for both relaxation and spiritual well-being.
Guests at Regent Makkah will have access to speciality dining venues, a spa and a wellness centre.
IHG Hotels & Resorts India, Middle East & Africa managing director Haitham Mattar said: “This property will not only elevate the guest experience in Makkah but also set a new standard for luxury accommodations in the region.
“Our collaboration with AIMS Holding is crucial and, together, we are committed to creating an exceptional offering for worshippers and travellers.”
AIMS Holding Hospitality head Muhammad Al Amir said: “Regent Makkah will be a landmark addition to our expanding luxury portfolio, blending heritage with modern sophistication.
“With this launch, Makkah, one of the world’s most sacred destinations, will embrace an exceptional level of hospitality, profoundly meaningful and luxurious. We are honoured to contribute to the Kingdom’s vision of elevating hospitality offerings in this revered city.”
This development follows the recent introduction of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection’s SOUMA Hotel Lima in Peru, the brand’s first South American establishment.
