IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered into a management contract with Kleek Development to introduce a 250-key hotel to the Sixth Settlement district of New Cairo, Egypt.
Positioned in a mixed-use development zone, Crowne Plaza New Cairo is intended to cater to corporate, commercial, and residential sectors across East Cairo. The property is expected to open in the first quarter of 2031.

The accommodation inventory at the hotel will comprise rooms and suites. It will also feature four dining venues, including an all-day dining facility, a lounge in the lobby, and a bar.
Corporate and social gatherings will be accommodated across six dedicated event spaces.
Recreational and wellness amenities planned for the development include a swimming pool, a gymnasium and fitness centre, spa facilities, and retail units.
The layout of the hotel will align with Crowne Plaza’s current brand standards tailored to contemporary guest requirements.
This includes the Plaza Workspace format, which reconfigures communal lobby areas into designated sections intended for work and casual use.
In addition, the guest quarters will feature the brand’s WorkLife Room layout, dividing interior space into distinct areas intended for work tasks, rest, and sleep.
