IHG Hotels & Resorts’ upscale brand voco has debuted in Germany with the opening of a new property in the Lörick district of Dusseldorf.

voco Dusseldorf Seestern is only five miles away from Dusseldorf International Airport and four miles away from Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre Messe Dusseldorf.

Rhine river is within walking distance from the hotel.

IHG opened the hotel in partnership with investor group, Hotelite Management.

Hotelite cluster general manager Oliver Walzer said: “We are proud to be the first voco hotel in Germany and are looking forward to inviting our first guests to come and experience what the brand is all about – especially in Dusseldorf, a city where fashion, culture and commerce meet.

“Whether it be a short city break or a business trip, our onsite hosts will make sure that visitors will have a charming, unstuffy and playful experience that brings out the very best in them.”

voco Dusseldorf Seestern offers 160 rooms featuring 100% recycled materials made bedding, eco-friendly bathroom amenities from Antipodes and others.

In addition, all the rooms have access to an onsite fitness area equipped with a sauna and steam room.

Dining venues include Restaurant & Bar 38, an all-day dining that caters meals prepared using organic ingredients.

Restaurant 38 serves an a la carte menu with local and international cuisines and Bar 38 offer cocktails.

The hotel also boasts five modern meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 140 people. They are fitted with the latest technology.

voco brand, which was launched in 2018, operated 23 open hotels across the globe, with additional 33 in the pipeline, as of 30 September 2021.

Last year, IHG announced plans to open the second voco property in Gangnam district, South Korea.
