Spanish hotel chain Meliá Hotels International brand INNSiDE by Meliá has opened its first hotel in Barcelona, following the completion of the renovation of the Apolo hotel.

The renovated hotel, dubbed the INNSiDE Barcelona Apolo, includes new spaces for socialising and a stimulating design, which caters to the needs of modern business travellers.

Located near the Port of Barcelona, the new hotel features 314 rooms that have been completely renovated, including The Loft and The Townhouse categories.

The rooms incorporate a contemporary and urban design, which includes a yoga mat, a Bluetooth speaker, USB ports, a wireless charger, and a minibar.

The reception area has been modified into what the brand refers to as an “Open Living Lounge” concept, which encourages working, socialising with other guests as well as renting a bike to tour the city. Guests can also purchase souvenirs from a collection of local arts and crafts.

Dining options at the hotel include new restaurant concepts such as the new Bite Box area, an informal bar and grab-and-go service.
