InterGlobe Hotels, along with its other special purpose vehicles (SPVs), has set a target to have a total of 6,000 rooms available across 30 hotels in India over the next two years, The Hindu reported.
The company presently has 27 hotels under operation with a total room inventory of about 5,400 spanning across 14 cities.
It operates hotels under four brands: Novotel, ibis Styles, Pullman, and ibis.
It expects three hotels that are currently under construction to be completed in two years. These hotels are located in Goa, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
The firm intends to develop hotels in important markets in the country.
InterGlobe Hotels president and CEO JB Singh said when speaking to the publication: “India is a very underpenetrated market in terms of branded hotel room supply, and we want to play a leading role in building the hospitality infrastructure in the country.
