Jikeikai Group has announced plans for Wellness Hotel Zen-Aomori, the first wellness hotel in Japan.

Planned to be built in the upper levels of the JR Aomori Station Building in Aomori, the new hotel will offer full medical check-up for guests upon their arrival.

Personalised wellness regimens, spa treatments, meditation guidance, nutritional and dietary treatments will also be provided at the facility.

Jikeikai noted that the guests at the new property will begin their stay with a comprehensive health and wellness check-up.

The hotel staff will also create a custom wellness programme for each guest along with options and treatments such as Onsen hot spa, skincare, yoga, mindfulness training, fasting, sleep studies and Zen meditation.

The optional packages for guest will include companion stays at one of Jikeikai Group’s mountain resorts, Tsuta Onsen or Hotel Jogakura, for additional relaxation and spa treatments.

Wellness Hotel Zen-Aomori, which is planned to be opened in 2024, will feature 145 guest rooms and offer access to nearby mountain spa resorts.

It will also feature health and wellness-focused areas as well as yoga facilities, saunas and exercise equipment.

Besides, the property will include areas with custom lighting and comforts dedicated to mediation and relaxation as well as meeting space for businesses.
