JW Marriott vice-president and global brand leader Bruce Rohr said: “We are excited to welcome JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa to the brand portfolio and continue to showcase the best in holistic well-being.

“The first beachfront property to be designed from the ground up, this new resort completely embodies our commitment to offering an experience that revitalises mind, body and spirit.”

The building’s architecture is characterised by a coastal turquoise colour. The architectural elements include the Seagrass sculpture in the reception area and a ceiling piece named “Wave”.

Vision Makers worked with local and national architects and designers to create a seamless transition from the outdoors to interiors. CallisonRTKL provided the interior design while the lighting was designed by CM Kling.

The resort also provides more than 20,000ft² of indoor and outdoor event spaces.

The Latitude 28 at the hotel offers breakfast and dinner with a fine-dining, seasonal Mediterranean coastal menu. It allows guests to enjoy the offerings in the dining room or alfresco on the patio.

Other dining areas include Eskape beachfront bar and grill and the Deep End rooftop restaurant and bar on the 11th floor.
