Founded in 2017, Koncept Hotels’ staffless model was adopted to focus on labour shortages and environmental concerns.

The company sought a modern platform to replace its property management software, automate operations, and facilitate multi-property management.

Apaleo’s application programming interface (API)-first MACH architecture enables seamless integration of various third-party applications.

This integration allows continuous customisation and modernisation.

It has also enhanced guest experience, ensuring it’s seamless, immediate, and personalised, eliminating the need for on-site staff, the tech vendor claims.

Koncept Hotels easily switched from its old property management system (PMS) to Apaleo with the help of Apaleo’s dedicated customer success team.

A designated customer success manager managed the onboarding, providing the hotel group with continuous 24/7 support.

Apaleo’s API-first approach enabled Koncept Hotels to promote a culture of experimentation and collaboration among staff, allowing it to continually enhance its operations.

Koncept Hotels revenue and capacity manager Sabine Schrempp said: “Apaleo has enabled us to make significant strides in automating our processes. With our previous PMS, staff and night auditors had to manage each booking manually.

“Now, reservations are automated, smooth and easy to manage. A huge success for us has been in payment processing, which is a crucial element for our digital operations. Payments and invoicing are now 100% automated, meaning we no longer have to think about them. That’s been a huge win for us.”

Koncept Hotels currently has six properties across Germany and Switzerland.
