Lemon Tree Hotels has further bolstered its presence in India with the signing of a new property in the state of Karnataka.

Lemon Tree Hotel, Kundapura is expected to open by fiscal year (FY) 2027.

It will be managed by the company’s wholly owned subsidiary and management arm, Carnation Hotels.

The property will feature 80 rooms, restaurants, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a meeting room, and other public spaces.

Carnation Hotels CEO Mahesh Aiyer said: “We are pleased to announce the expansion of our portfolio in Karnataka. Religious tourism is a rapidly growing segment and we, as a brand, are actively expanding in this segment.

“This opening will be in addition to our eight existing hotels and resorts in the state.”

The property is situated 90km away from the Mangalore International Airport and 38km away from the Udupi railway station.

It is also well-connected through both public and private transport.

The hotel’s location also provides access to various rivers, as well as the Arabian Sea.

This latest addition comes soon after Lemon Tree Hotels revealed plans to expand its presence across international markets.

The company’s chairman and managing director Patanjali Keswani stated that the company aims to manage and operate hotels across cities such as London, Singapore, New York, and Hong Kong.

Earlier in the same month, the company opened a new hotel in the state of Telangana.

This 150-room Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Yadagirigutta, is scheduled to open by FY 2026.

The company currently has about 9,550 rooms in 98 hotels spanning 63 locations across India and abroad, under its diverse brands.

It is expected to operate around 10,450 rooms in 106 hotels across 64 destinations in India and abroad when its current pipeline is completed.
