The addition expands the group’s presence in Andhra Pradesh to six operating hotels, with seven more in the pipeline.

In Visakhapatnam, the new hotel will join the company’s existing properties in the city: Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels in Daba Gardens and Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels in Gajuwaka.

Other facilities will include a banquet hall, meeting and conference room, fitness centre, restaurant, swimming pool and spa.

The hotel site is 39km from Visakhapatnam International Airport.

According to the company, the property also offers strong road connectivity via public and private transport linking it to major Indian cities.

Commenting on the signing, Lemon Tree Hotels president Vishvapreet Singh Cheema said: “Visakhapatnam is a key economic centre and a thriving tourism destination in Andhra Pradesh, driving strong demand across corporate, leisure and MICE [meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions] segments.

“Adding our upscale offering with Lemon Tree Premier, Visakhapatnam allows us to capture a broader spectrum of demand, while deepening our footprint in a high-growth market.”

Earlier this week, the company had announced two other hotel signings in Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Lemon Tree has more than 130 hotels across over 80 cities in India and overseas, along with more than 140 upcoming properties.
