Makarem, a hotel brand under Dur Hospitality, has signed a management and operation agreement with Saudi Edarah to operate the new Rwaya Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The 31-storey hotel, situated in Khalidiya neighbourhood, is expected to open in the first quarter of 2024.

It will have 592 rooms and a range of facilities including a main restaurant, prayer areas for both men and women, banquet halls and parking.

It will be a seven-minute drive from the Grand Mosque.

The latest addition is part of Makarem’s expansion plan in the holy cities.

Makarem will oversee all aspects of the new hotel, such as accommodations, guest services, and food and beverage.

Makarem serves visitors across Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites and currently has 2027 hotel rooms, with the aim of expanding its total number of rooms to 10,000 by 2028.

In November 2023, Dur Hospitality signed a strategic partnership with Travel Destinations Solutions to promote its hotel brands and business to business connections.
