International hotel investment and management group Mandarin Oriental has officially opened its latest property in the centre of Msheireb Downtown Doha, Qatar.
The opening of Mandarin Oriental, Doha, was marked with the unveiling of the hotel’s unique signature fan.
According to the company, each Mandarin Oriental hotel has its own personalised fan designs that reflect the local culture.
Handcrafted in France by the artisanal fan maker Maison Duvelleroy, the fan design is a representation of Qatari heritage mixed with Middle Eastern-inspired designs. It pays tribute to Doha’s architecture, tradition, hospitality and legacy.
Msheireb Properties CEO Ali Al Kuwari said: “The launch of Mandarin Oriental, Doha represents a significant milestone for Msheireb Properties. It is the first Mandarin Oriental hotel to be launched in the region and to open in Msheireb Downtown Doha, our key development project that has been designed as the world’s first sustainable regeneration project. We are delighted that guests can now enjoy the hotel’s five-star hospitality and also experience the beautiful architecture of the overall project.”
Designed by David Collins Studio, Mandarin Oriental, Doha features 128 rooms, 30 suites and 91 serviced apartments.
Other amenities consist of a spa that is spread across an area of 3,000m2 and features six private treatment rooms, a couple’s suite, two VIP suites and a fitness centre, as well as three multi-purpose studios, two temperature-controlled rooftop pools and private cabanas.
