
Marriott International has partnered with real estate developer Ashaad Company to debut the Sheraton brand in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
The Sheraton Al Khobar Al Hamra is set to open in 2028, showcasing the brand’s new vision through its design, technology integration, and communal spaces.
The hotel will feature 580 guest rooms and suites, combining modern comfort with style. It will also introduce three culinary concepts, aligning with Sheraton’s updated food and beverage philosophy.
Marriott International Lodging Development Middle East regional vice president Chadi Hauch said: “Sheraton has had a long-standing presence in the Kingdom, and we are excited to work with Ashaad Company to further expand the brand’s portfolio in the country with its entry into Al Khobar.
“This hotel will embody Sheraton’s new identity, offering guests a unique experience through enhanced services and designs while staying true to its legacy. This deal also further supports the demand we are seeing for business and leisure travel into the Eastern Province of the country.”
The design plans for the property include modern meeting rooms, versatile banquet halls, expansive conference halls, dedicated business zones, and a party hall.

Aleph Hospitality, which manages upscale accommodations in the Middle East and Africa, will operate the franchised property, working alongside Marriott International and Ashaad Company to ensure a successful launch and operation.
Earlier this month, Marriott Bonvoy expanded its presence in Thailand with the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 22.
