Marriott International has announced that it has entered agreements with hospitality and leisure chain Vinpearl to develop seven new hotels and resorts in Vietnam, comprising over 2,500 rooms.
These new agreements add to the eight hotels announced last year when Marriott first partnered with Vinpearl.
With the latest development, Vinpearl is now set to become Marriott’s largest owner in Vietnam with 15 hotels and resorts, Marriott reported in a press release.
Of the seven newly signed hotels and resorts, three will be conversions that will join the Marriott system later this year, including Nha Trang Marriott Resort and Spa, Renaissance Hoi An Resort and Spa and Danang Marriott Resort and Spa.
Meanwhile, four new hotels consisting of over 1,200 rooms are expected to be completed by 2028, including the Bac Ninh Marriott Hotel.
Marriott International President Asia Pacific excluding China Rajeev Menon said: “With new locations earmarked in important tourism hubs such as Danang and Nha Trang, our anticipated inaugural resort in the popular cultural town of Hoi An and the anticipated first internationally branded five-star hotel in Bac Ninh, we are well-positioned to meet Vietnam’s diverse hospitality needs in primary, secondary and tertiary destinations”.
