Both properties are scheduled to transition to Minor Hotels management on 1 May 2026, following which they will undergo rebranding in the first quarter of 2027 after renovations are completed.

The Colbert Collection Koh Samui resort on Chaweng Beach is currently operating as Buri Rasa Village Samui and includes 32 rooms.

Upon transfer of management and completion of renovations, it will join an existing group of Minor Hotels-managed properties on the island.

On Koh Phangan, Minor Hotels will assume management of a 63-key resort on Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach, which currently operates as Buri Rasa Village Phangan.

It will become Avani Koh Phangan after the management transition and subsequent rebranding period.

The property will include a mix of room types, dining outlets, a beachfront pool, dedicated children’s and fitness facilities, and is positioned adjacent to Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas.

Minor Hotels CEO and Minor International Group CEO Dillip Rajakarier said: “This dual signing represents a strategic step in expanding our presence in southern Thailand across both our premium lifestyle and soft brand segments.

“Introducing Colbert Collection to Asia in Koh Samui and strengthening our resort portfolio in Koh Phangan with Avani allows us to further diversify our offering in destinations that continue to see strong international demand.”

The announcement of Colbert Collection Koh Samui comes after Minor Hotels revealed plans for its London debut with The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London set to open in late 2026.
