Nakheel has announced that the company’s 800-room joint venture with Spain-based RIU Hotels & Resorts is all set to open in December this year at Deira Islands.

The property is set to bring a new hospitality concept to Dubai and marks the 100th RIU establishment globally.

Fit out of the resort, Riu’s first in the Middle East and the first four-star, beachfront resort in Dubai has been completed. The splash water park is in the final stages of construction with landscaping work currently under way.

The resort is located on a prime beachfront plot and has dining and leisure facilities, including ten food and beverage outlets.

Other amenities include three swimming pools and two children’s pools, a fitness centre, spa, beauty salon, children’s club and conference facilities.

Additionally, the property offers a packed sports and entertainment programme for guests.
