Choice Hotels International has added three more hotels to its Ascend Hotel Collection brand portfolio in the US as part of the group’s long-term expansion strategy.

The new properties are: Avania Inn in Santa Barbara, Margarita European Inn in Evanston, Illinois, and the Yellowstone Valley Lodge in Livingston, Montana.

Choice Hotels International upscale brands senior vice president Michael Murphy said that the Ascend Hotel Collection continues to see dramatic growth and is a driving force in the company’s expansion into upscale travel.

The Avania Inn is located within walking distance of Sterns Warf, West Beach, East Beach, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum and the University of Santa Barbara.

It offers amenities including free high-speed wireless Internet, a free deluxe breakfast bar, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and Redwood sauna, a business centre, free weekday newspapers and free parking.

Margarita European Inn is located in the heart of Evanston, Illinois, on Chicago’s North Shore with convenient access to Downtown Chicago.

The 46-room property has several room types, and all offer complimentary continental breakfast, wireless high-speed Internet access, daily newspapers and coffee. The Inn also offers two meeting rooms for those travelling on business.

Yellowstone Valley Lodge is situated on the banks of the Yellowstone River. It features three different cabin types with 17 cabins in total. All cabins include private decks and wireless internet.

Yellowstone Valley lodge is owned by the O’Reilly Family and managed by O’Reilly Hospitality Management.
