US-based hotel management company Commonwealth Hotels has completed major renovation works in the guest rooms, corridors and public spaces of its Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino by American hospitality company Marriott.

The renovation works on the 98-room property included installation of new appliances, bedding, soft-seating furniture, floor tile, along with new carpet laying, window treatments, paint, wall vinyl, and artwork.

The redesigned hotel offers king and double standard rooms for its guests.

Redevelopment of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino is an attempt to meet the desires of the guests to stay connected as well as to offer additional comfort during their stay.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino general manager Jeff Morgan said: “Our hotel has been in the Tampa Bay area for eight years now.

“We completed this renovation to demonstrate our commitment to providing our travellers with the highest quality accommodations and value-added services synonymous with the Fairfield Inn by Marriott brand.”

Located at 6720 Lakeview Centre Drive, Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino is built adjacent to Florida State Fairgrounds and is just one mile from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Fort Lauderdale, US.

The hotel is also built near the Amphitheatre, the Tampa Convention Centre, Sabal Park and MacDill Air Force Base.

The refurbishment project has been carried out for $1.5m.
